Group Outings

We love groups and do everything we can to make sure you have a good time with us.

At Kayak Horizons we welcome groups of all kinds and numbers. We can accommodate 60+ people at a time. Whether it’s a school outing, scout troop, church function, or office get-together, we can help make your trip a memorable one. Because of the user friendly conditions and kayaks, groups of all experience levels are certain to have a great time. Many school biology and natural history programs come out with us due to the unique estuarine environment and scientific potential. Scouting and church programs are also a specialty as we have many kayaks sized just right for kids. We also make your group outing an affordable one.

Our group rate is only $13.00 + tax per person(using tandem kayaks) for up to 4 hours!! If some in the group would prefer to use single kayaks the group rate is $20.00 + tax.  We ask our groups to download our waiver sheet off the "Rentals" link and have that all filled out before you come in.   On the day of the outing we`d like to collect the fee from one person.  So please have the monies pooled ahead of time so we can get you on the water quickly and efficiently.

We consider any party of 15 people or more to be a group so get some people together and come on down! Due to the large numbers of kayaks that groups can need, reservations are a must.  If the number of kayakers changed significantly, we would appreciate a heads-up-call as early as possible as we can often have several different groups on the same day. If your organization needs references from other groups that kayak with us frequently, we can put you in touch with them.

Note:  The city recently removed the public restroom that had been right across from our business.  The closest public restroom now is south down the street at Tidelands Park.  There is a nice facility there that will accomodate a large group.  We encourage those coming in to do a Group outing to go there first so we can get you on the water efficiently when you arrive here.
